Privacy notice

Who we are

Invicta Cloud is a trading name of Glitch Servers Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16652099. Glitch Servers Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this notice.

You can contact us about anything in this notice at privacy@invictacloud.co.uk or by post at 26 Kings Hill Avenue, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent ME19 4AE.

What we collect and why

When you contact us

Your name, company, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message. We use these to reply and, if you go ahead, to set up your service. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

When you buy a service

Your name, email address, billing address and company name. We use these to provide the service, bill you and keep the records the law requires. Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with you and compliance with our legal obligations.

Payments

Card payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure checkout. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. Stripe also holds your billing details and invoices on our behalf.

Running your service

Records of logins to your control panel, support conversations and technical logs such as IP addresses and bandwidth use. We use these to run the service, keep it secure and resolve problems. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure service.

Data on your servers

Anything you store on a server you rent from us belongs to you. For that data you are the controller and we act as your processor: we do not access it except to provide the service or when you ask us to. We will sign a data processing agreement on request.

Who we share data with

  • Stripe, to take payments and manage billing.
  • Our email provider, to send and receive email.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountants, where needed.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Where data is stored

Customer servers and their backups are kept in the United Kingdom. Some of our suppliers, such as Stripe, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a sale: up to 12 months.
  • Account and billing records: six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
  • Support conversations: for as long as you are a customer, then up to two years.
  • Server disks and snapshots: deleted when the service ends. Managed backups expire within 14 days.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our checkout and control panel use cookies that are strictly necessary for them to work, such as keeping you signed in.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Some rights depend on the lawful basis we rely on. Email privacy@invictacloud.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes

We will update this notice when how we use personal data changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
