What we do

Set up properly from day one
We build your server securely, then install and tune what your site or application needs: web server, PHP, databases and free SSL certificates.
Updates and security
Security updates are applied every week, and urgent fixes the same working day. Reboots happen at a time that suits you.
Monitoring, day and night
We watch uptime, disk space, memory and certificates, and act on alerts before they turn into problems you notice.
Nightly backups
Your whole server is backed up every night and kept for 14 days. Need a file, a database or the whole server back? Just ask.
Fixes when things go wrong
If your server has a problem, we investigate and restore service. You do not need to diagnose anything first.
Help with changes
Up to an hour a month of changes on request: new sites, users, scheduled tasks or a different PHP version.
Not included: work on your own website or application code, content changes, or email hosting. We are happy to recommend people who can help.

Managed VPS questions
Do I still get access to my server?
Yes. You or your developer can have your own login. We just ask that system changes go through us, so we always know how your server is set up.
Do you update WordPress for me?
We keep the server, PHP and database up to date and tuned for WordPress. Updating WordPress itself, themes and plugins stays with you or your developer, because those updates can change how your site behaves.
What if I need more than an hour of help in a month?
We quote extra work before we start, so you always know the cost. Unused time does not roll over.
Can you take over a server my developer already set up?
Usually we build a fresh server to our standard and move your site onto it, so we can stand behind how it is set up. If that is not practical, we will review the existing server first.
Can I switch from self-managed to managed later?
Yes, at any time. We review your server and either take it over or move you onto a fresh build.
